LAX Alert: Beaver Lake Park Master Plan Public Meeting #2


LAX Alert! This coming Wednesday is the second public meeting held by the City of Sammamish on the proposed Beaver Lake Master Plan. Please plan on attending and speaking up for improved multi-use athletic fields and lighting to allow for lacrosse, soccer and other youth sports in addition to baseball.


You can find out more about the Beaver Lake Park Master Plan on the City of Samm web site including the results of the recent public survey. Please get informed and get involved!! Our kids and your lacrosse community need your help to make new turf multi-use fields a reality.


Public meeting #2 is this Wednesday, 3rd June and will be held at the Beaver Lake Lodge in the park starting at 6:30 PM. Come early, bring the family and have a picnic by the lake before coming into the lodge and making your presence count for our youth sporting community!

Issaquah LAX Club Wins Second State Championship!


The Eagles held off a late challenge by Mercer Island to win their second consecutive State Championship title. Issaquah started the game strong with senior Jordan Goldstein scoring four goals and the Jakes combining for another 6 - Jake Fritz nets 4 and Jake Director nets 2. Connor McLain was again a dominating defensive presence and Issy goalie Cameron Danforth stopped the last second MI shot at the end of regulation with a key save.

Overall this was a great team effort and a full team victory! Congratulations to the 2009 Washington State Champions!!

Issaquah Rides 5-4 OT Semi-Final Win into Championship Game!


Issaquah High School rides a dramatic overtime 5-4 win over Bainbridge Island into the Washington State Division I Championship game.


The High School Boys Lacrosse Championship will be held 7:30 PM this Saturday, May 30th at Memorial Stadium in Seattle. Make your plans to be there and include the 5:00 PM Division II match-up between Eastside Catholic and Overlake for an exciting evening of great HS lacrosse!!

Issaquah LAX Club standout Jordan Goldstein selected to play in US Lacrosse National Senior Showcase

ILC standout midfielder Jordan Goldstein has been selected to play for the West squad in the 2009 US Lacrosse National Senior Showcase game held on June 20th at Bryant University.
Jordan, who started laxing with IYL in the 7th grade, is one of the 96 high school senior lacrosse players from the US selected from a pool of 595 student-athletes. Jordan is joined by fellow 2009 Washington All-State attackman Sam Snow from Bainbridge making Washington one of only 19 states with more than one representative selected to play in the game.
